Teacher Information

Teacher’s Corner

Unfortunately, due to COVID, all in person school day events have been cancelled for 2020.  However, connecting with us and other schools virtually is NOT cancelled!  We have put together a Resource Guide that is a bank of information you can use.  As your schedule allows, you can do as many or as little of these interactive videos/activities with your students.  We are also doing Monthly Challenges as an opportunity to stay involved.  We will include the Monthly Challenge and updated Resource Guide in our monthly emails to teachers.  If you do not receive our emails and wish to, sign up below!

We understand that every classroom and school schedule looks very different from one another this year.  We are open to any ideas that teachers may have to continue doing Special Olympics with your students.  Please reach out to our office with questions or ideas!

SOHC hopes to schedule in person events in Spring 2021!

Special Olympics Hamilton County has over 25 programs all year round.

There are great opportunities for school aged individuals with intellectual disabilities to get involved. Check out our calendar for specific dates of events. Our one day programs are a fun way to get students out of the classroom for the day, learning on the playing field. Teachers are able to bring their athletes to a training day or competition during the school day.

For new teachers looking to get involved with the SOHC please fill out the teacher registration form. If you are already registered see below event entry forms.

In order to participate in any Special Olympics event, the teacher must submit an entry form by the designated deadline to the SOHC office. Please complete the form entirely. No participation will be allowed without an entry form. Please complete the entry form for the activity you are attending.

All students participating must also have an updated Athlete Application for Participation (Medical Form).
